Trees Understood were asked by an existing client in Brighton to deal with a couple of wind blown Leyland cypress trees.

There partially blew over in a storm and got hung up in 2 Sycamores. The challenge was to dismantle both cypresses whilst preserving the Sycamores, the plants underneath and keeping myself safe up the tree. I roped into the sycamores so if the cypress suddenly collapsed I would be safe . I think a combination of a shallow sub soil ( due to chalk being 80cm under the surface) , the trees being taller than the surrounding trees and the wet conditions caused these trees to fail .

Regular inspections by a qualified Arboriculturalist is recommended to pre-empt these situations from arising.
